How have 8 months gone by already?! I don't know why this month seems like it went by in hyperspeed, but here we are at the end of July.
On the evening of Friday, June 30th, Kohen officially crawled for the first time! Then the next day, Kennedy did too! Kohen doesn't stop moving now. It's funny how you can tell he is so tired but unless you're holding him or put him in a seat, it's like he thinks he needs to be moving. We had an incident a couple weeks ago where he rolled off my bed. I think I cried for longer than he did. I called the doctor's office and was reassured that he would be ok. Everyone is telling me that this is just the beginning. And I can already tell, they're right! Kohen is pulling up on any and everything already and is falling a lot because of it. His poor little head. We got a giant play yard for the twins so that they'd be able to have plenty of room to crawl around but also be contained at the same time. So far, they're loving it!
Miss Kennedy seems MUCH less motivated to get around. She's perfectly content to sit on her bottom and watch Kohen crawl around. When she does decide she needs to get to something, she has the army crawl down pat. It's so funny to watch her get around. She will reach SO hard to get something instead of just crawl to it. But she's getting there!
Watching these two interact with each other is seriously my favorite thing in the whole world. It's obvious how much they love each other already. When anyone else is holding Kennedy, Kohen watches to make sure she is alright. Then when they're playing together, Kennedy will make a loud noise and Kohen will just laugh so hard. They love holding hands, and Kohen likes to crawl all over Kennedy - she's not such a big fan of that. Kennedy loves to give kisses and Kohen loves his hugs. Both love to snuggle too.
I can't believe that my tiny 37 week old baby dolls are so active and so big already! They're so fun, so interactive, and I just can't get enough! I am so thankful for these little miracles and the joy they bring to our lives.
Happy 8 months, little dears! Mama loves you SO much.
